Sawaki Takeyasu, the author of the book, is one of the most popular Japanese game character designers. He used to work for CAPCOM, and his representative works are Devil May Cry series (sold over 100,000 copies world wide), El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron (sold over 70,000 copies in Japan and North America), and Okami (sold approximately 280,000 copies in North America and Europe, was named the "least commercially successful winner of a game of the year award" in the 2010 version of the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition.

It was featured in popular US game magazine, PLAY Magazine). Takeyasu has been also working as an illustrator/writer these days, and this book is his first picture book to be published. The story of the book is about a girl happened to face a monsters night parade, however, the book is mainly visual. Many types of Japanese monsters appears each turn of the page that will take audiences to a fantastic, mythical world. Video game/animation fans will of course adore this book, but the exotic touch of Takeyasu s work will also attract oriental art lovers.
